Who We Are
Shalom Messianic Academy (SMA) is an educational ministry of Congregation Beth Hallel, Messianic Synagogue. Although Beth Hallel is a synagogue, SMA is a legally classified as “Church School” in the State of Alabama. SMA functions as a cover (umbrella) school so parents can legally educate their children off-site through homeschooling. We offer legal church school enrollment for families throughout the state of Alabama.

SMA’s vision is to have a Messianic Jewish cover school in Alabama for Messianic Jews and Non- Jewish Believers. Our mission is to provide homeschooling families throughout the state of Alabama a legal option for educating their children. In addition to providing a Church School enrollment, we also desire to provide a Messianic Jewish environment and experience. We understand that only by G-d’s grace and provision will this be attainable.
As a ministry of Beth Hallel it is SMA’s desire to come together Jew and Non - Jew in Yeshua (Jesus). We want to equip and inspire parents to provide their students with a firm Biblical and educational foundation.

FAQ:
- Area we cover - We cover Alabama statewide
- How many days do we have to school through SMA? 160 (We offer year-round schooling June 1 - May 31 giving you 365 days to achieve the 160 days of schooling).
- What curriculum do I need to use? You can choose your own curriculum. SMA does not provide curriculum. We are availible for curriculum advice.
- Cost: Enrollment - $90 per family each year of attendance.
- We do not require a signed Letter of Faith.
- Are there any on campus classes? We do offer a co-op that meets throughout the year. For information give us a call or shoot us an email. There are no daily classes offered.
