Statement of Beliefs

Holy
Bible
|
The Bible, consisting of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the
later writings commonly known as the B’rit Hadasha (New Testament), is the
only infallible and authoritative word of G-d. We recognize its divine
inspiration, and accept its teachings as our final authority in all matters
of faith and practice. In its original writing; it is inspired, infallible
and inerrant (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Proverbs 3:1-6; Psalm 119:89, 105; Isaiah
48:12-16; Romans 8:14-17; II Timothy 2:15, 3:16-17).

G-D
|
The Shema, “Hear O Israel, the L-rd our G-d, the L-rd is
one” (Deuteronomy 6:4), teaches that G-d is Echad, as so declared: A united
one, a composite unity, eternally existent in plural oneness [Genesis 1:1
(Elohim: G-d); Genesis 1:26 “Let Us make man in Our image”; Genesis 2:24 Adam
& Eve were created to be as one flesh (basar Echad)], that He is a
personal G-d who created us (Genesis 1 & 2), and that He exists forever
in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as mentioned in Romans
8:14-17 (Father, Spirit, and Messiah – Son) and Matthew 28:18-20 (immersing
in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).

Yeshua
Messiah
|
G-d has a Son who was and is and will return (Psalm 2;
Proverbs 30:4-6 (cf. Hebrews 1); Luke 12:35-37; John 1:29-34, 49; 3:14-18).
The Son, called Yeshua (Jesus), meaning salvation, came to this world born of
a virgin (Isaiah 7:14 (cf. Luke 1:30-35)). The Son is G-d (Deity), and is
worshiped as G-d, having existed eternally (Psalm 110:1 (cf. Hebrews 1:13);
Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 28:18-20; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-19;
Revelation 3:21 (Hebrews 1 – worshiped by angels); Revelations 4:8, 5:5-14).
This One is the promised Mashiach (Messiah) of Israel (Isaiah 9:6-7; 11:1;
Daniel 9 (especially verses 20-26); Isaiah 53; John 1:17, 40-41, 45, 49; Mark
8:29). He is the savior of the nations. He is the root and offspring of
David, the bright and morning star (Numbers 24:17; Revelation 22:16). He is
our Passover, the Lamb of G-d (I Corinthians 5:7; Revelation 5; John 1:29).

Redemption
|
Man was created in the image of G-d (Genesis 1:26-27), but
by voluntary transgression he fell; Our only hope for redemption (salvation)
is through the atonement made by the Messiah (Leviticus 17:11; Isaiah 53;
Daniel 9:24-26; I Corinthians 15:22; Hebrews 9:11-14, 28; John 1:12, 3:36), resulting
in regeneration by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5), which is the new birth (John
3:3-8). For by grace we are saved through faith, it is a gift of G-d
(Ephesians 2:8-9).

Regeneration
|
For anyone to know G-d, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is
absolutely essential (John 6:44, 65).
|
|
Repentance
|
Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every
area of our lives and to follow Messiah, which allows us to receive His
redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Thus, through repentance
we receive forgiveness of sins and appropriate salvation (Acts 2:21, 3:19; I
John 1:9).

Sanctification
|
Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to G-d’s
Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Messiah's
character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and
the Word of G-d that the believer is enabled to live a G-dly life (I
Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; II Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18, II Thessalonians
2:1-3, Romans 8:29, 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11).

Yeshua’s
Blood
|
The Blood that Yeshua Messiah shed on the tree was sinless
and is 100% sufficient to cleanse mankind of all sin. Yeshua allowed Himself
to be punished for both our sinfulness and our sins, enabling all those who
believe to be free from the penalty of sin, which is death (I John 1:7;
Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:9; John 1:29).

Yeshua
Messiah Indwells All Believers
|
Believers are people who have invited the L-rd Yeshua
Messiah to come and live inside them by His Holy Spirit. They relinquish the
authority of their lives over to him thus making Yeshua the L-rd of their
life as well as Savior. They put their trust in what Yeshua accomplished for
them when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead (John 1:12; John
14:17, 23; John 15:4; Romans 8:11; Revelations 3:20).

The
Gifts of The Holy Spirit
|
The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of
spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the body of Messiah, demonstrate the
validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The Bible
lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur
in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the
manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in
harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical
parameters. (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11,12 :4-8; Ephesians 4:16; II Timothy
1:5-16, 4:14; I Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; I Peter 4:10).

Healing
of The Sick
|
Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry
of Yeshua, and included in the commission of Yeshua to His disciples. It is
given as a sign, which is to follow believers. It is also a part of Yeshua'
work on the tree and one of the gifts of the Spirit. (Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5;
Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; I Corinthians
12:9, 28; Romans 11:29).

G-D’s
Will for Provision
|
It is the Father's will for believers to become whole,
healthy and successful in all areas of life. But because of the fall, many
may not receive the full benefits of G-d’s will while on Earth. That fact,
though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of
Messiah’s provision in order to better serve others.

Mental and Emotional (II
Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3).

Financial (Joshua 1:8; Malachi
3:10-11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 34:10,

Resurrection
|
Yeshua Messiah was physically resurrected from the dead in
a glorified body three days after His death on the tree. In addition, both
the saved and the lost will be resurrected; they that are saved to the
resurrection of life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal
damnation (Luke 24:16, 36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15; I
Corinthians 15:42, 44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21).

Heaven
|
Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in
the Gospel of Yeshua Messiah (Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John
17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4).
|
|
Hell
|
After living one life on earth, the unbelievers will be
judged by G-d and sent to Hell where they will be eternally tormented with
the Devil and the Fallen Angels (Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27;
Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8).

|
First
Coming
|
First coming: Promised in Daniel 9:24-26. The initial
coming’s purpose was to make atonement (covering) for sin (Daniel 9:24-26;
Isaiah 53; Romans 3:21-31; Hebrews 9-10; John 3:16-17)—as the Suffering
Messiah. The Redeemer shall come to Zion (Isaiah 59:20-21; Zechariah 14:4).

Second
Coming
|
Second coming: The Messiah Yeshua will return to the earth
as King (Revelation 19:11-16). Upon His return, a marvelous, wonderful thing
will happen: He will bring with Him an army of the Heavenly hosts, and those
who went on before us (Revelation 19:14) and those who are still on earth
will meet Him in the air to receive the believers to Himself (I Thessalonians
4:13-18; John 14:1-6; I Corinthians 15:51-57). Yeshua Messiah will physically
and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom.
This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures (Matthew 24:30,
26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; II Thessalonians 1:7-8;
Revelation 1:7)

Values
In order to do what we have been called to do we hold to a set of core values. Our decisions must be filtered through these values.
|
Messiah-Centered
|
Whatever we do, we do it because we are a “G-d first”
ministry. We want to put G-d first in all areas of our lives, and help others
do the same. So everything we do centers on Messiah and Who He is in
personality as well as spirit. (Philippians 1:21)
|
|
Relational
|
We believe being in life-giving relationships is the key to
long-term health for an individual. We work hard to make relationships with
others a priority! (Matthew 22:37-39)
|
|
Authentic
|
Part of being relational is to be real. G-d designed each
of us to be who we are. We believe in being sincere with G-d and with others.
G-d and people are interested in authenticity and we will continue promote
this value. (Psalm 139:14)
|
|
Fun
|
We believe the life of the believer is enjoyable. We enjoy
being with G-d and celebrating His life in us. We laugh and that adds great
value to our life. Laughter is good like medicine. (Proverbs 17:22)
|
|
Creative
|
G-d is the creator. We are created in His image, and that
means we have been given the capacity to be creative. We are always looking
for new ways to present the truth of G-d’s word. With fresh ideas, through
media, music, drama, and dance, as well as creative outreach ideas we will
seek to connect to the culture we live in. (Gen.1:1, 26-27)

Excellence
|
We strive to do the very best job possible with the
resources G-d has given us, and to do the best work we can possibly do,
knowing that doing so brings honor to G-d.(Colossians 3:23-24)
|
|
Accepting
|
None of us came to G-d in a state of perfection. He loved
us first, just like we were. We want to extend this same love to people who
come KLA. We want everyone to feel accepted and loved, because that's how we
came to know G-d. (Rom 14:1-12; Matt.7:1-5)
|
|
Generosity
|
G-d is generous. He gave His only Son for us and we will be
generous with everything entrusted to our care. Our heart is to bless others
with all that G-d gives us! (Matt 7:9-12; Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35)
|
